Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is well-known for her the roles she played in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of 16she already been offered a variety of television roles for instance, the lead in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. Other Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's work has led her to be involved in a variety of important national and international projects. Among others, these projects include British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. In addition, she was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
